OBJECTIVES

The present project directly addresses the above issues and has as main objective the development of a theoretical model to study the dynamic response of highly compressible porous layer imbibed with a non-Newtonian fluid, subjected to impact.

This objective will be achieved by pursuing the following specific phase objectives:

(O.1) Determination of the critical level of compression.

(O.2) Solid-phase contribution to the total squeeze force for the imbibed porous material.

(O.3) Modeling of the non-Newtonian flow through a compressed porous layer with time-variable permeability.
